Entergy Nuclear Power Plant Generators

After the nuclear disaster at the Fukushima plant in Japan in 2011, US policy makers enacted the NRC Mitigation Strategies Order in March of 2012. This order states that all U.S. nuclear power plants are required to implement strategies that will allow them to cope without their permanent electrical power sources for an indefinite amount of time. In response, companies like Entergy called on Total Energy Solutions to help them design and implement redundant backup generator and power distribution systems at their plants.

For this project, we provided 11 nuclear power plants across 5 states with 20 trailers mounted generators ranging from 8kW to 800kW, along with utility trailers, enclosed trailers, light towers and wall mounted quick connect generator docking panels to allow for quick, safe generator connections in case of an emergency.  In addition to providing the equipment, we also installed it at each of the 11 plants and provide scheduled preventative maintenance on the equipment to keep it ready to deploy should the need arise.
