Emergency Generators Dispatched After Louisiana Tornadoes

On February 7th, 2017, at least seven tornadoes touched down in Louisiana.  The band of storms caused major damage prompting Governor John Bel Edwards to declare a state of emergency and urge residents to take shelter. But while most were seeking shelter, our team was jumping into action to deploy eight 2-megawatt generators to Felixville, LA to keep a pipeline booster station operational.

Remote Manual Emergency Stop Stations for Generators per NFPA 110 5.6.5.6

Recently, we have had multiple calls from clients asking for help regarding an NFPA 110 5.6.5.6 violation. Generator installations for mission-critical facilities, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and data centers, are required to comply with NFPA 110: Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems, in conjunction with NFPA 70: National Electrical Code.
